oceans spill, shores retreat;
continents shrink, islands sink;
volcanoes erupt, the earth quakes;
deserts spread, forests burn;
lakes disappear as rivers dry;
swamps intrude lowlands abandoned;
air laden with dust, the sun blocked;
pestilence grip, extinction in the air;
new epoch emerges sans Homo sapiens,
new world rises, earth reborn. ~
